A ship carrying ammunition for the Libyan rebels fighting for control of the coastal road, west of Tripoli to the Tunisian border, has been blown up in the port of Zuwara. The rebels have been moving to establish control of Zuwara, about 160 kilometers west of Tripoli.
A rebel fighter, said Gaddafi saboteurs had blown up the ship. Further to the west, rebels are in control of the border post of Ras Jdir. Rebels have also swept into the town of Jmayl, consolidating their grip on areas to the west of Tripoli after forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi fled.
